The 12th annual Best Of Year Awards (affectionately known as the BOY Awards) just concluded with a celebration on December 1st at the IAC Building in NYC. Over 1,000 design professionals, from the USA, Canada and other countries, attended Interior Design’s 2017 BOY Awards, the design community’s premiere design awards program, to honor the world’s most outstanding projects and products of 2017.

The process started back in October, with two weeks of online voting to narrow down the 2,300 submissions to an elite group of finalists in each category. Then, in mid-November, Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief at Interior Design, along with her jury, made the final selections. Cindy kicked off the evening with a reminder that “this wasn’t a competition, but a celebration.”

Designers and makers at Hubbardton Forge created the Zephyr from hand-forged steel and artfully-shaped LED light-guide that flow from one into the other, creating sense of ribbon-like movement. And, our Zephyr was in great company, with other finalists in the category from Estiluz, Jonathan Browning Studio, Santa & Cole, and Artemide’s Yanzi that won the category. Winners and Honorees are featured in the December issue of Interior Design magazine and on

We are proud to have been honored as Finalist in the multi-bulb category with the Zephyr LED Pendant. “I wish that our entire team could have been with me in NYC at the BOY Awards ceremony to soak in the applause and accolades from this prestigious group when our images flooded the giant wall-screens as the Zephyr was presented as an Honoree. Everyone at the Forge is proud to have been recognized by the top designers in the industry for our design and craftsmanship.” – Jeanne-Marie Gand, VP of Marketing at Hubbardton Forge
