Fluid and ethereal, the Sling Pendant gives new meaning to "form and function", An elegantly swooping form makes light itself into a sculptural element. Held by steel handforged by Vermont metalcrafters, the Sling Pendant adds beauty to its space.
With swooping curves and elegant shapes, the Sling Pendant is a prime example of a new form of “sculptural light”. Working with a local, Vermont LED manufacturer, designers developed a light-guide with a proprietary etched pattern to draw the light from end-to-end, with the LED embedded in the fixture’s steel channel at once end. By bending and curving the acrylic material, the light becomes part of the actual suspended sculpture for an ethereal feel. Designed by David Martin, the Sling builds upon Hubbardton Forge's continued exploration of ways that light-guide elements can be used to bring light and elegance to any space.
