HF on Property Brothers

Property Brothers project featuring Hubbardton Forge Lighting

Most often when our handcrafted lighting leaves the Forge to make its way in the world, it’s the last we hear from it – no postcard, no phone call. So it’s always a bit of a thrill when a designer shares a project they’ve worked on. If we’re being honest, when that designer happens to be attached to a successful TV show, there’s an even greater sense of excitement. That sense was dialed up when the 8th episode of the 5th season of Property Brothers Buying + Selling aired August 31st on HGTV.

The episode, “Grandma Style Overhaul,” detailed the story of Westchester county homeowners Mike and Nicole who were looking to move into a bigger house to provide space for their growing family. Jonathan and Drew, the “Brothers” behind the show’s name, stepped in to lend a hand.

While Drew helped the couple shop for a new home, Jonathan worked on their existing home’s redesign with the help of local interior designer Kim Mitchell of KAM Design. They incorporated Hubbardton Forge fixtures throughout the home and to quote HGTV’s description of the episode, gave “the couple’s granny décor an overhaul that proves more profitable than they ever imagined.”

If you missed it the first time around, it’s showing on video On Demand and it’s scheduled to re-air Sunday, October 2nd at 8 a.m. EST on HGTV.
