the ART, a Hotel Denver, Colorado is well-known for its elevation (a step on the State Capitol Building is exactly one mile above sea level). It’s also known for its love of sports (home of a record-setting seven professional teams), as well as Denver’s art and culture. Today, the Denver Art Museum has a new neighbor: a mixed-use project that is adjacent to the museum that includes offices, high-end condominiums, retail spaces, an outdoor civic space, along with the ART, a Hotel. The ART, a Hotel has a welcome gallery with museum-quality artwork and offers the finest dining and hospitality. We were thrilled to learn that Hubbardton Forge lighting was selected to illuminate the hotel’s FIRE Restaurant and Lounge. Much like the hotel, FIRE emanates from the owner’s desire to be authentic to the artistic mindset. Its setting is an architectural wonder. FIRE’s impressive glass vitrine overlooks Denver’s bustling Broadway in the Cultural Center of the city. Hubbardton Forge’s modern Link pendants with hand-blown glass hang over the expansive bar, and stylish Quill LED pendants that look like sculptural feathering hang over intimate conversational areas to create a sense of continuity for a seamless experience for the ART guests. Visitors to the FIRE Restaurant or Lounge will get an up-close look at the best of Vermont artistry and design inspiration in lighting. “In the selection of Quill and Link pendants, we found a series of fixtures that echoed the dynamic architecture of the ART, a Hotel, while serving as the perfect backdrop to both guest of FIRE and priceless works of art,” said Guadelupe Cantu, architect with Davis Partnership Architects. We’re proud to have our “Art of the Forge” alongside works by other artists and artisans in this one-of-a-kind boutique hotel.
